How do I ask Ollie to write an article?

Tell Ollie a topic in plain words — through the New Article button or right in chat — and he researches and writes the whole thing for you, ready to preview and install.

You can ask me to write an article any time — you tell me the topic in plain words, and I write the whole thing for you. You're never limited to what I come up with on my own. If you know a subject your customers care about, I'll turn it into a real, search-ready article.

There are two easy ways to ask, and you can use whichever feels natural.

The two ways to ask

  • Click "New Article" in the Articles section of your dashboard, then type what you want.
  • Ask me in chat — something as simple as "Write an article about the best beginner running shoes" is plenty to get me going.

What to tell me

The more specific you are, the sharper the article. A good request names the topic and, ideally, who it's for — for example, "a guide to storing biltong so it stays fresh" tells me the subject, the angle, and the reader all at once. A one-word topic works too; I'll fill in more of the shape myself.

What I do with your request

Once you've asked, I take it from there:

  • I research the topic and find the real search terms people use around it.
  • I write a full article — proper headings, a natural flow, and the SEO structure that helps it get found.
  • I save it into your content engine, ready for you to look over.

Previewing and installing it

Nothing goes live on its own. Your new article sits in your dashboard so you can read it first, make any changes you want, and then push it to your store when you're happy. When you're ready, install your content and it's live.

Tips for a great request

A few small things make a big difference:

  • Be specific. "Running shoes" is broad; "running shoes for flat feet" is a real search someone types.
  • Think like your customer. What would they ask Google right before they'd want to buy from you?
  • One topic per article. A focused piece ranks better than one that tries to cover everything — if you've got two ideas, ask me for two articles.
