Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. RunOctopus has never sold personal information for money, and we have no plans to start. We also do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising (sometimes called "targeted advertising" under CCPA/CPRA).
What this page is for
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. Even though we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, we want to make this opt-out available and easy.
What you can opt out of
If you submit an opt-out request, we will:
- Disable Google Analytics tracking on our marketing site for your browser
- Confirm in writing that we do not share your information with any third party for advertising purposes
- Honor any future "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signal sent by your browser
How to submit an opt-out request
Email us at hello@runoctopus.com with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request." Include:
- Your name (or a pseudonym you've used with us)
- The email address associated with your account, if you have one
- A statement that you are a California resident
We will respond within 15 business days, as required by California law. We will not require you to create an account, verify your identity beyond what is necessary, or charge you for the request.
Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written, signed authorization from you confirming the agent's authority, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Your other California rights
In addition to opting out of sale/sharing, California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and (if applicable) sell or share about you
- Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you
- Limit our use of "sensitive personal information" (we collect none, but the right exists)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a CCPA right
