Most tools start with "write me a page." The Map starts one step earlier, with the question that matters more: which pages should your store have at all, and in what order? A beautifully written page about the wrong subject earns nothing, so this is where the plan comes from.
Where the subjects come from
I build your Map from what your store already says about itself, in this order:
- Your collections. Your own labels for how your world divides are the best guide there is.
- What you already write about. A store with a big blog often owns subjects it never made a collection for.
- Your products. When neither of the above gives me enough, your catalog does.
The subjects are never promotions or internal notes. "Black Friday" is not something your customers want answered.
