How do I invite my team?
You can bring teammates into your RunOctopus workspace from the Team tab in Settings — send an invite by email, pick their role, and they join once they accept. Everyone then shares the same store, content, and access to me.
You can bring teammates into your RunOctopus workspace from the Team tab in your Settings. You send an invite by email, choose the role they'll have, and they join the moment they accept. Once they're in, they share the same store, the same content, and the same access to me that you have.
This is how you go from working solo to working as a team — so more than one person can review content, manage the store, and work with me side by side.
Sending an invite
Open Settings → Team and you'll see everyone currently on your workspace, plus a small form to add someone new. Enter the person's email, pick their role, and send it. I email them a link to accept, and that link stays good for seven days. If it lapses, send a fresh one and it replaces the old one.
Owners and admins can invite teammates; regular members can't. So if you don't see the invite form, ask whoever owns the workspace to add you as an admin first.
Choosing a role
Every teammate joins with one of three roles, and the role decides what they can do:
- Member — full access to the workspace's content, tools, and everything I build, but can't manage the team.
- Admin — everything a member can do, plus inviting, removing, and changing the roles of other teammates.
- Owner — the top level. Owners can do all of the above and hand ownership to someone else.
Accepting the invite
When your teammate clicks the link in the email, they sign in — or create a RunOctopus account — with the same email you invited. That match is how I know it's really them. Once they accept, they land in your workspace and can get to work right away.
Finding it in your settings
The whole team lives under Settings → Team: who's on the workspace, their roles, and any invites still waiting to be accepted. That's your one place to add people, adjust roles, or remove someone whenever things change.
